Join Emmy winning producer and accomplished screenwriter, Teresa Thome for this rare opportunity to get professional instruction in screenwriting.
This would cover basics of screenwriting – overview for film, television, web.
Learn about registering your script or idea, along with a brief overview of pitching in Hollywood or ways to get your script in front of Hollywood types.
Day Two Monday the 12th from 6pm-9pm:
Teresa served as President of Enthusiastic Productions and Executive Producer for the Emmy® and Telly Award winning Children’s Television show “Come On Over!” She served as Executive Director of the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum for eleven years. During her tenure, she and the Museum received numerous awards and honors. The Museum garnered the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Cultural Organization and Teresa was chosen as one of 35 museum professionals from around the world to attend the Museum Management Institute, an offering of the Getty Leadership Institute. Teresa served as a participant in a Raising Capital Creatively round table at Johns Hopkins University representing her work with Enthusiastic Productions.
Teresa has performed in and directed more than 20 shows in the West Michigan area. She was a member of Last Minute Improv and is currently developing a one woman show. She is currently a member of the Endorsement Council for the Urban Institute of Contemporary Arts and is Vice President of the Downtown Improvement District Board. Teresa is an Emmy® Award and Telly Award winning producer for her work on “Come On Over!”
Her one woman show, “Warm Cheese” was met with sell-out shows and standing o’s at the Hollywood Fringe Festival as well as LaughFest, a national comedy festival. warmcheese.com
